Guide to a good mailing
You can do almost anything with Docmail! Here are a quick guide to the different 'zones' you'll find on the front of a single document mailing. We call this the 'Prime' document, by the way.
1. The Address Area
This is the address area, which must be left blank. It is clearly marked on our templates. We automatically insert the addresses of your recipients here so that they appear correctly within the address window of the Docmail envelope.
2. Headline Message Area
You can use the area above and to the right of Zone 1. This might be your logo and address if you were to produce a 'letter style' mailing, but if you have imagination, there's quite a large area you can fill... perhaps with an important sales message?
3. The Greeting
This is the greeting on a letter style mailing. Depending on the breakdown of the fields in you mailing list, you can easily choose how you want to address your clients.
4. The Main Body
The main letter area is were you can really go to town with your message! Even using the cheapest print option (black only) there's plenty of scope for making an impact. You can import photos or clip art, add callout boxes to draw attention to things you want your customers to know. You are only limited by your imagination and your skills with Word!
